The cannabis seized has an estimated value of $230,000. They also found the tires.
Longueuil police seized more than 70 kilograms of contraband cannabis early Wednesday during a raid conducted in search of stolen tires.
The search warrant was executed at a residence on St-Jean St. and was part of a joint investigation conducted with Canadian Pacific police.
When officers got to the scene, they not only found the missing tires, but cannabis and the components needed to operate a grow-op.
Police estimate the value of the seized cannabis at more than $230,000. A 33-year-old man was arrested at the scene and released after being questioned by investigators. He could face charges of possession of cannabis for the purposes of trafficking.
